The Greenlee HK12ID Hand Hydraulic Dieless Crimping Tool simplifies crimping color-coded lugs and splices by eliminating the need to select and install interchangeable crimping dies — no more discovering the right die is back at the truck or the warehouse.

The tool's dieless indent-style crimping head handles copper lugs and splices from 4 AWG to 1000 kcmil and aluminum lugs and splices from 6 AWG to 1000 kcmil, and is UL and cUL Classified with connectors from Anderson, Burndy, Blackburn, Ilsco, Panduit, Penn-Union, Thomas & Betts, and Tyco. A flip-open crimping head rotates 350°, making it easy to get into tight locations and around large lugs and splices.

A two-speed pump provides a rapid crimping cycle, and lightweight, strong fiberglass handles keep the tool manageable through repeated use. The crimp is complete once the relief valve opens; the ram is then retracted with a quarter-turn of the movable handle before closing the handles together. The HK12ID is the replacement for the earlier Greenlee 1990, and comes complete with a molded carrying case.
