Projecting three full 360° laser planes simultaneously, the SK700GD generates 6 cross-point reference positions for comprehensive jobsite layout coverage. Each 360° line is created by reflecting laser light from a single source off a cone mirror, ensuring consistent, uninterrupted line projection around the full circumference. High-brightness green laser technology delivers significantly improved line visibility compared to red laser alternatives, making it the ideal choice for brightly lit or outdoor job sites. Line visibility reaches up to 115 feet, and is detectable up to 230 feet when used with a Makita Laser Detector (sold separately).
Accuracy is a defining strength of the SK700GD — it achieves a sharp laser line with best-in-class precision of +/-2mm at 10 meters, and self-leveling stability is reached in as little as 3 seconds for fast, efficient setup. The self-leveling range extends up to 4 degrees of slope, allowing reliable operation on uneven surfaces. The 360° rotating base features an eccentric rotation mechanism that enables the laser body to rotate around a fixed defined plumb point — keeping the plumb reference locked in place while vertical lines are repositioned up to 10° left or right via a fine adjustment dial, reducing setup time significantly.
Built for demanding jobsite conditions, the SK700GD carries an IP54 rating under Makita's eXtreme Protection Technology (XPT), providing reliable resistance to dust and water ingress. Laser windows are recessed into the housing for added physical protection. When paired with a 12V max CXT 4.0Ah battery (sold separately), it delivers up to 14 hours of continuous runtime — keeping green laser lines projected throughout even the longest working days.
