The Shinsetsu Plate Compactor lineup is ideal for compacting soil, gravel, and asphalt in small to medium-sized areas such as driveways, patios, and foundations. The range includes two series: the SPC-1003 series (SPC-1003 / SPC-1003R / SPC-1003H / SPC-1003D) and the larger-capacity SPC-80 series (SPC-80 / SPC-80R / SPC-80H), each offered with a choice of multiple engine options to suit different power and fuel requirements.

Both series are built from high-strength steel, featuring a bottom plate with curved edges for stable operation during use. A hardened and enclosed pulley cover protects the clutch and belt from debris and impact, while a strong protective framework shields the engine frame from impact and also makes the unit easier to carry. The foldable handle, with its unique design, saves storage space, and an integrated shock pad significantly reduces handle vibration — enhancing operator comfort during extended use. Both series start via a recoil starter.

The SPC-80 series steps up in capacity with a larger 560 x 475mm plate and a higher centrifugal force of 13.5kN, compared to the SPC-1003 series' 560 x 370mm plate and 10kN centrifugal force — making the SPC-80 series suited to larger or more demanding compaction jobs.
