HIGHLIGHTS:

The Shinsetsu STR-1003 Tamping Rammer is perfect for compacting cohesive soils in confined areas such as trenches and around pipes. Powered by a 4HP gasoline engine, it delivers an impact force of 9.8kN (1,000kgf) at a rate of 600–695 impacts per minute, with a jumping height of 30–70mm — providing the compaction power needed for confined-space soil work where larger compaction equipment cannot reach.

The rammer is built with a cast aluminum throttle lever that is more professional, stronger, and more durable, while also providing greater comfort for the operator. A large air cleaner on the crankcase, combined with the original engine air element, extends the engine's lifespan and enhances durability. A two-stage oil filter in the plastic fuel tank increases the longevity of the carburetor, and a high-quality shock absorber effectively reduces vibrations, improving operator comfort during extended use.

The German polyurethane bellow is one of the highest-quality bellows available, ensuring reliable, long-term performance. The foot assembly is constructed from a steel plate with a wooden insert, making it the most economical option for this component. A rammer trolley allows for easy transportation of the unit by the user between job locations.
